Advanced Monitoring Executive with Programmable Triggers and Alerts

Pintail’s Advanced Monitoring Executive is the heart of the SwifTest on-line suite of software tools. There are two separate modules. SwifTest-AMX is the prerequisite module for all other SwifTest products and fundamentally captures test data in real-time running directly on the tester. SwifTest-MAX enables users to easily script their own triggers and trigger actions. Sophisticated binning analysis and trend monitoring can be accomplished using this module.
- Ultra-small footprint - transparent to tester performance.
- AMX alone acts as real-time data port to upstream applications.
- MAX supports monitoring actions that are configurable alerts and trigger actions enabling sophisticated monitoring procedures for improving yield and throughput.
- Improved quality with real-time trend monitoring and control
- Comprehensive lot summary reporting
- Reduced costs from retest, maintenance, scrap and debugging time
- Proven in production
A non-intrusive, customizable solution
The SwifTest monitorng system requires no hardware devices at the tester. The software is a thin-client application that runs directly on the ATE system. Pintail’ unique architecture ensures no loss of ATE speed. Pintail Technologies’ SwifTest monitoring system is proven in production on most leading ATE models.
The Device Profile allows users to fully customize which parameters they want to actively monitor specific devices in production. Easy to configure and proven to be efficient, the Device Profile is used in conjunction with SwifTest-TTO for test-time reduction or with SwifTest-FOX for dynamic outlier detection and reliability improvement on a device-specific basis. The Device Profile can contain the recipe for the statistical sampling plan and/or the tests used with dynamic outlier detection. It can also contain critical factors like the sampling rates and/or the dynamic outlier binning schemes.
Configurable alerts and triggers for self-monitoring
SwifTest-MAX provides a large number of adjustable triggers that generate predefined actions when certain conditions occur during testing. Triggers can be programmed based on user-defined thresholds, limits and real-time trend analysis. Alerts can also be programmed according to user preferences. Alerts can be sent either to the Test Operators (through the ATE console) or to selected Test and Product Engineers through text messages, e-mails or pages. For example, a user could set a threshold of 2% from the mean across all four sites for a site-to-site, yield-variance trigger. If this limit were exceeded at any point across the running of a lot, an alert would be sent out and/or a message would appear on the operator console.
Improved visibility for better control
Using real-time data and analysis with SwifTest-AMX, Test and Product Engineers can resolve problems more quickly, thereby improving time-to-market, time-to-target yield, and minimizing downtime. Professional test houses have the option of giving their customers better visibility into their test operations, thus reducing customer support time and improving customer satisfaction. Test Operators gain immediate insight at the end of a lot that can guide retest decisions more cost effectively and reduce scrap losses significantly.
Pintail Technologies SwifTest-AMX is loaded on hundreds of testers across a dozen test sites in the world, supporting some of the best IDM, fabless, and test service provider companies in the industry
